Ben Gilbert

Ben Gilbert has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Ben started their career as a Project Engineer at Birwelco-Montenay, Inc. in 1988. In 1989, they joined Brown and Caldwell as a Client Service Manager and Department Manager. In 1997, they joined Veolia North America as a VP at Montenay Power Corp, where they were responsible for business operations, government relations, expansion projects, and project development in the Caribbean. In 2007, they joined NextEra Energy Resources as a VP Business Management, overseeing P&L responsibilities for Western U.S. operations. Since 2009, they have been with MasTec, where they held various roles including VP Business Development, SVP Business Operations & Strategy at MasTec Power & Industrial Group, and VP Strategic Operations at Lemartec, a MasTec company. In their roles at MasTec, they focused on the expansion and integration of new acquisitions and start-up companies, as well as client relations for key clients and alliance partners.

Ben Gilbert has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Florida International University, and they attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. Ben is also a certified Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.
