Michael Attong

Michael Attong has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael began their career as a Warehouse Assistant at Umbra in 2011, where they gained valuable knowledge about warehouse operations. Michael then worked as a Sales Floor Manager at Sunglass Hut, developing their customer service and communication skills. In 2012, they started their own personal training consultancy, helping individuals achieve their fitness goals.

In 2015, Michael joined Walmart Canada as an Industrial Engineering Specialist, where they worked on continuous improvement projects and labor management. Michael held various roles within the company, including Program Manager Labor Management and Automation Integration Lead.

In 2021, they moved to Spin Master as a Manager of Inbound and Outbound Transportation before being promoted to Senior Manager of Customer Operations. In this role, they managed a $200M revenue stream and implemented various strategies to improve performance and efficiency.

Most recently, Michael joined Master in 2023 as the Director of Distribution Operations.

Michael Attong has a diverse education history that includes a Master of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto, an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Ryerson University, and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from York University. In addition to their academic achievements, Michael has obtained several certifications in various fields, including project management, managerial economics, supply chain management, finance, SQL programming, and data visualization. Michael has also received professional recognition as an Associate Member of Supply Chain Canada and a licensed Professional Engineer (PEng) from Professional Engineers Ontario. Furthermore, Michael has completed training courses in forklift operation and center riding and has obtained a MOST certification from G.H. Bishop Global.
