Rico Barrera

Rico Barrera serves as Senior Counsel for Labor and Employment at MasterBrand Cabinets LLC since December 2023. Previously, Rico held the position of Associate Attorney at Ogletree Deakins from June 2019 to December 2023 and served as an Attorney in the Education Practice Group at Bricker & Eckler LLP from January 2017 to June 2019, representing K-12 School Districts and various entities on labor and employment matters, contracts, and compliance. Earlier experience includes working as Assistant Attorney General at the Ohio Attorney General's Office, focusing on prosecuting violations of the Ohio Securities Act and professional licensing laws, and as a Certified Legal Intern at the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic, where advisory services were provided on corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Rico's legal expertise also includes internships with the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Federal Trade Commission. Rico earned a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from The Ohio State University.
