Maurice Lorka possesses extensive experience in agricultural research, policy formulation, and program management. His professional journey includes roles such as Technical Assistant to the Deputy Executive Director at FARA, Board Member at FARA representing the African Union Commission, and Senior CAADP Advisor at the African Union Commission, where significant contributions to the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme were made. Maurice has also served as Project Manager for the CAADP XP4 project funded by the EU and is currently the Program Lead for Policies at the Mastercard Foundation, focusing on policy and systems change in the West Africa Economic and Monetary Union. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management from the University of Bonn and an engineering degree in agricultural sciences.
