Associate Frontend Engineer at MasterClass

Justin Dwyer started their work experience as a Barista at Starbucks from October 2011 to August 2014. Justin then worked as a Receptionist at William Jessup University from July 2015 to December 2015. Justin joined Riskalyze as a Sales Development Representative in October 2015 until January 2017, where they engaged with financial advisors and developed content for email campaigns.

In May 2017, Justin transitioned to the role of Marketing Coordinator at Riskalyze, where they developed email templates and web pages for marketing campaigns and proofread customer-facing content. During this time, they discovered their passion for web development and gained proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

From March 2019 to December 2020, Justin worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Riskalyze, learning software testing and development, building a frontend app for automated tests, and writing end-to-end automated tests for new features. Justin then advanced to the role of Senior Quality Assurance Analyst from January 2021 to December 2021. In this position, they implemented tools and processes to improve delivery speed and quality, redesigned and refactored an app for automated testing, and trained new international teams on automation and quality processes.

From January 2022 to August 2022, Justin served as a Quality Engineer II at Riskalyze, taking charge of developing internal software utilities, creating automation solutions, and coaching quality processes. During this time, they built and maintained multiple internal React applications and implemented solutions for migrating to a scalable automation architecture.

Currently, Justin is working at MasterClass as an Associate Frontend Engineer starting in November 2022.

Justin Dwyer has a varied education history in the field of English language and literature. In 2014 to 2015, they attended the University of Oxford, where they pursued a study abroad program to obtain their Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature. Later, from 2012 to 2016, they enrolled at Jessup University, where they completed their Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature. During their time at Jessup University, they concentrated on teaching and creative writing.
