Sagar Varute

Sagar Varute has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Sagar is currently employed at MasterClass as a Manager of Data Engineering, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this role, Sagar worked at MasterClass as a Lead Data Engineer from 2020 to 2022 and as a Senior Data Engineer from 2019 to 2020.

Before joining MasterClass, Sagar worked at VenueNext, a Shift4 Company, where they held the role of Lead Data Engineer/Architect from 2016 to 2019. Sagar played a significant role in designing and integrating solutions for building customer 360-degree profiles, integrating data from various sources, and delivering data platform integration for game day operations. Sagar also designed and developed an analytics platform using Tableau.

Earlier in their career, Sagar worked as a Senior Data Engineer at VenueNext from 2014 to 2016. Sagar's early career includes roles at CA Technologies/Arcot Systems Inc. Sagar held the position of Manager/Architect of SaaS Data Operations from 2008 to 2012, Lead Engineer of SaaS Solutions from 2007 to 2010, Senior Software Engineer of SaaS Solutions from 2005 to 2007, and Software Engineer of Payment Integrations from 2003 to 2005. In these roles, they integrated security products, developed product components/tools, refined SLA reporting processes, and designed scalable integrations with banks and payment processors.

Sagar Varute attended Harvard Business School Online from 2020 to 2021, where they studied subjects such as Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting. Prior to that, Sagar earned a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from San Jose State University.
