Tim Collins

Tim Collins has a comprehensive and diverse work experience spanning over two decades in the field of software development and engineering. Their most recent role was as the Director of Engineering at MasterClass, where they started in April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Engineering at Freestar from September 2021 to March 2022. Tim also held the position of VP of Engineering at Sortable from January 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining Sortable, Tim served as the Director of Engineering at BSM Technologies from October 2017 to December 2018. Tim was previously an Engineering Manager at Sortable from June 2017 to October 2017.

From 2014 to 2017, Tim was associated with Intelligent Mechatronic Systems - IMS, where they held the role of Manager Mobile and UX from March 2016 to June 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at IMS from September 2014 to March 2016.

Before joining IMS, Tim served as a Senior Software Engineer at Trustwave from March 2014 to September 2014.

From 2009 to 2014, Tim held the position of Software Development Manager at Client Outlook Inc. starting from November 2010 to March 2014. Tim also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Client Outlook Inc. from November 2009 to October 2010.

Tim's early career includes roles at Agfa Healthcare, where they worked as a J2EE Software Developer/Team Lead from April 2008 to November 2009, as a Java Software Developer from October 2006 to March 2008, and as a C++/C# Software Developer from September 2002 to September 2006. Tim also worked as a Software Developer at Spicer Corporation from May 2001 to April 2002.

Throughout their career, Tim has gained significant experience and expertise in various engineering and development roles, making him a valuable asset in the field.

Tim Collins attended the University of Waterloo from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Math degree in Computer Science. Tim then pursued further education at the University of Waterloo from 2003 to 2005 and earned a Diploma in Classical Studies. After a brief break, Tim enrolled at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in History.
