Matthew Tenney

Matthew Tenney is the general counsel for MasterControl and is responsible the company's legal compliance, risk management, and advising the company's executives and broader team on key legal issues. Prior to MasterControl, Tenney spent 10 years at the Parr Brown law firm in Salt Lake City, helping corporate clients with mergers & acquisitions, public company compliance obligations, and commercial contracting and licensing. Tenney joined Pluralsight, a SaaS technology skills platform, in 2015, building out their legal department and leading it through its IPO in 2018. Following Pluralsight, Tenney joined Rocket Lawyer as its director of attorney services for Rocket Lawyer, helping them to build out an innovative legal-services product for Rocket Lawyer's individual and small business customers.

Tenney earned a bachelor's degree and a law degree from Brigham Young University as well as an MBA and a masters degree in arts administration from the University of Cincinnati.
