Michael Shirman

Michael (Misha) Shirman has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael (Misha) is currently the Director of Engineering at MasterControl since June 2023. Before that, they worked at Hydrostasis, Inc. as a Technical Advisor and Co-founder, where they later became the CTO and co-founder. Hydrostasis aims to provide hydration monitoring solutions for the health and wellness and Remote Patient Monitoring markets.

Prior to Hydrostasis, Michael served as the CTO (interim) at Search Optics, a Martech company, and EasyPay Finance, a consumer lending Fintech company, both in 2017.

From 2014 to 2017, they were the CTO at Count Loyalty, a Fintech company, where they led the development of a loyalty and lending platform.

Before that, they worked as a Tech Product leader at Mondevices Inc, where they worked on the development of Monbaby wearable products for monitoring babies. Michael (Misha) also served as a Fractional CTO at Smartsy Corp, an image recognition company.

In 2012, Michael was the CTO at Hipswap, a consumer marketplace and affiliate marketing company. Michael (Misha) also held the role of Fractional CTO at PlayitFwd, a film distribution platform, from 2011 to 2012.

Michael (Misha)'searliest experience includes being the CTO and co-founder at transmodus, DBA linked2pay, a fintech company specializing in payment processing solutions, where they worked from 2001 to 2010.

Michael (Misha) Shirman holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Multiprocessor Systems from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Michael (Misha) also pursued a course on Technology Entrepreneurship at Stanford University in 2013. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Telecom Digital Switching Systems, from Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. In terms of certifications, they completed a course on How to Manage a Remote Team at GitLab in 2021 and became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2018.
