Kate McNulty

Kate McNulty has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the School Principal of Simon Gratz Prep Middle School and Senior Director of School Culture at Mastery Schools. Since joining Mastery Schools in 2014, Kate has focused on enhancing school culture through collaboration with the Chief Equity Officer, leading the Culture Leader Fellows program, and developing training for teachers and leaders. Prior roles include Director of School Culture, Assistant Principal of School Culture, and Lead Dean of Students, where Kate implemented restorative practices and attendance improvement strategies. Kate's early career includes teaching Math at KIPP Philadelphia Schools and the School District of Philadelphia, alongside creating curricula in Social Emotional Learning. Academically, Kate holds a Master of Education in Education and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Philadelphia University.
