Sonni King has extensive experience in the fields of education, performing arts, and athletics. Currently serving as Athletic Director and Performing Arts/Dance Teacher at Mastery Schools since July 2019, Sonni also holds the position of Executive Producer for the Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade with the Pennsylvania Juneteenth Initiative since November 2018. Previous roles include Health and Wellness Program Manager at Universal Family of Schools, Performing Arts Coordinator at Global Leadership Academy, and Director of Dance and Fine Arts Chairperson at Atlanta Public Schools, where a dance curriculum for grades 6-8 was created. Earlier career highlights include directing dance programs and developing fine arts curriculum at various educational institutions and performing as a dance team member for multiple NBA teams. Sonni holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Theater/Dance from Temple University.
