Lynsey Knight

Lynsey Knight has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design and development. Lynsey is currently working as a Lead Product Designer at MasteryPrep, where they collaborate with a team of developers to implement new platform features. Their responsibilities include conducting industry research, gathering requirements, managing product strategy, and designing user interfaces.

Prior to joining MasteryPrep, Lynsey worked as a self-employed Owner, Product Designer, and Front-end Developer at Roulette LLC. Lynsey provided design solutions to various companies, design agencies, and software firms, focusing on UI/UX design, product design, and accessibility.

Lynsey also co-founded Activate Conference in 2015, an event aimed at enriching the local tech community by promoting careers in web and technology. Lynsey worked towards building connections between the future and current workforce, creating awareness about technology careers, and organizing skill-building opportunities for professionals.

Previously, Lynsey held positions as a UI Designer and Front-end Developer at Envoc. Here, they were responsible for user experience design, web design, graphic design, and brand development. Lynsey also served as a Competency Manager, streamlining the design and development process and ensuring quality and performance from the team.

Earlier in their career, Lynsey worked as an Interactive Designer at Maxon Media, developing websites and blogs with CMS technologies. Lynsey also worked as an Interactive Developer at RD2, Inc., where they focused on developing web-standard compliant and accessible websites.

Lynsey's work experience also includes the role of a Web & Graphic Designer at Reflect Systems, where they designed elements for digital signage systems and created graphics and animations using Microsoft Expression programs. Lynsey started their career as a Web Technician at TNT Dental, specializing in website slicing, Flash animation, and website maintenance.

Throughout their career, Lynsey has gained a broad skill set that includes UI/UX design, front-end development, accessibility, brand development, graphic design, and information architecture. Lynsey is proficient in various technologies and tools such as HTML5/XHTML, CSS2/3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP & MySQL, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, Fortress, Git, SVN, WordPress, ExpressionEngine, Mockups, Craft CMS, Sublime Text, SCSS/LESS, Sketch, and UXPin.

Lynsey Knight obtained an AAS in Interactive Media Design from The Art Institutes, where they studied from 2004 to 2005. Later on, they pursued a BFA in Interactive Media Design from the same institution, completing their studies from 2006 to 2007. In addition, they obtained a certification in "WAI0.1x: Introduction to Web Accessibility" from W3Cx in October 2020.
