As Chief Technology Officer at Tinder, Tom Jacques leads development efforts, building and scaling the world's most popular app for meeting new people while managing a team of hundreds of engineers.
A veteran in the online dating space, Tom began his career at OkCupid as a software engineer in 2010, working to scale the platform as it grew and shifted to mobile. He transitioned to run DateHookup as CTO and Director, later returning to OkCupid to assume the role of Vice President of Engineering prior to joining Tinder in 2018.
Equally passionate about architecting high-performing technology and organizations, Tom holds a patent for a mobile eye-tracking system and studied computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated with honors.
