Doug Wood

Doug Wood, AScT, currently serves as Survey/GPS Manager at Matcon Group of Companies, overseeing file creation and maintenance for machine control and field layout, and utilizing drone data for surface and volume calculations since April 2020. Concurrently, at Matcon Excavation & Shoring, Doug functions as Project Coordinator and Survey/GPS Manager, further enhancing expertise in model creation and survey setup. Previous roles include Construction Project Manager at Murray & Associates Landsurveying, Project Manager at MMM Group, and Survey Manager for the Port Mann Highway 1 project at Kiewit, where responsibilities encompassed project management, budget estimation, and crew efficiency monitoring. Doug began the career as Survey Office Technician at Murray & Associates and has accumulated extensive knowledge in geomatics and land surveying through formal education at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and the University of the Fraser Valley.
