VP Operations at Mate Precision Technologies

Andy Spence-Parsons began their work experience as the General Manager of Mate Punch and Die Ltd in 1991. In this role, they established a sales, service, and distribution center for a new UK-based subsidiary of a US manufacturer of precision tooling. Andy managed, trained, and supervised all customer service and technical support functions.

In 1997, Andy joined Mate Precision Technologies as the Operations Director. Andy served as an officer of the company and focused on developing sales, achieving over £1 million annually.

Later, in 2001, Andy became the Marketing Manager at Mate Precision Technologies. Andy directed and led marketing activities, implemented successful promotion, pricing, and new business development strategies that contributed to a 60% sales growth in seven years.

Currently, Andy holds the position of VP Operations at Mate Precision Technologies. In addition to customer service, custom engineering, shipping/logistics, and information technology responsibilities, they also support lean and continuous improvement principles, sponsoring and participating in various kaizen blitz events. Throughout their career, Andy has gained extensive experience in customer service, marketing, engineering, sheet metal fabrication technology, and shipping logistics.

Andy Spence-Parsons attended the St. Albans College of Further Education in the UK from 1982 to 1984 where they obtained an Ordinary National Certificate in Mechanical & Production Engineering. From 1984 to 1986, they attended Dunstable College of Further Education in the UK and earned an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician. Additionally, they studied at the University of Bedfordshire from 1987 to 1990, obtaining a Certificate + Diploma in Management Studies, equivalent to a US Bachelor's Degree.
