MATEC is a publicly-funded training center, providing clinical training and support to health care professionals. MATEC is headquartered at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, Department of Family and Community Medicine. MATEC is supported in its work through multiple public grants and contracts, including our primary award as the Midwest AETC Program. This program covers a 10-state region that includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
