MATERIA establishes dynamic frameworks for urban transformation and development delivering regeneration of urban districts, residential, cultural & social infrastructure projects conceived in distinction to the architectural and social context of each territory.

Through the analysis of urban historical dynamics, social and ecological analysis, cultural research,  identification of supply-demand source imbalances in real estate assets types, understanding of governance structures, MATERIA design and delivers quality urban transformation projects throughout the Arab world and Africa. It prides itself of collaborating with world-class spatial and architectonic thinkers, and to have been invited to the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2025, and to have collaborated with institutions such as Harvard GSD, Università della Svizzera Italiana, Università Bocconi and more. 

MATERIA spearheads an informed way of intervening in cities through a three-fold series approach comprised of plans, projects and programmes:

• Strategic Plans & Urban Design: that encompass spatial thinking, institutional governance, economic structures for districts and assets where social and cultural life can unfold 

• Projects: structuring of Public-Private Partnerships where public funding can creates conditions for private capital to invest in projects integrated in long-term urban goals

• Programmes: involvement and empowerment of local communities, use of local materials and workforce, reenactment of ecological practices and emphasis on cultural life and public spaces
