Andrew Longstaff

Andrew Longstaff is a Senior Materials Scientist at Material Evolution since October 2021, focusing on the R&D of sustainable, eco-friendly cementitious materials. Prior to this role, Andrew served as a Development Scientist and Senior Ink Formulation Technician at Peratech Holdco Limited from March 2017 to October 2021, specializing in conductive ink materials for force sensing applications. Andrew completed a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry at Durham University from 2012 to 2017, conducting research on the synthesis of functionalized polysaccharides for hydraulic fracturing under Dr. Ezat Khosravi. An earlier industrial placement at AkzoNobel involved investigating new polymer technologies for antifouling applications. Andrew holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Newcastle University (2008-2012).
