Betsy Slate

Betsy Slate is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in people management and organizational development. Currently serving as the Director - People Partner at Material since April 2019, Betsy provides strategic direction in change management, talent development, and employee relations for a client group of 200. Previously, Betsy held various roles at Greenberg, a Material Company, where responsibilities included managing talent culture and providing training. Betsy has also contributed to SFCASA as a Training Manager, developing programs for volunteers advocating for children in foster care, and has a background in education and community engagement through positions at Boston University and community organizations. Betsy holds dual master's degrees from Boston University in Social Work and Theological Studies, along with a BA in Sociology from UC San Diego.
