Ian Markey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and strategic management. Currently serving as the Director of Strategy & Insights at Material since July 2020, Ian is a founding member of the Strategy & Insights team, specializing in project design, analysis planning, and insights generation across various tracking studies. Previously, Ian held multiple positions at LRW (now Material) from June 2015 to July 2020, including Research Director and Senior Research Manager, where responsibilities included leading global consumer tracking research for LEGO and mentoring junior team members. Ian’s diverse career also encompasses academic roles as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, data analysis, and project management in various organizations, highlighting a strong foundation in research methodologies and team leadership. Ian holds a BA in History and Political Science from Villanova University and an MPA in Non-Profit Management from Seton Hall University.
