Lauren Murphy, PhD, currently serves as Associate Vice President and Senior Director of Behavioral Science at Material, where oversight includes the research and development of behavioral science tools aimed at understanding consumer behavior. With a collaborative approach, Lauren works with various teams including research, programming, data collection, design, and marketing sciences to provide deep insights for clients. Prior to Material, Lauren held roles as Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at LRW, and spent nearly a decade at Emory University as a Doctoral Student and Research Manager after starting as a Research Technician. Earlier experience includes an education role at Zoo Atlanta. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Florida State University.
