Monica Belmaña possesses extensive experience in behavioral science and research management, currently serving as the Director of Behavioral Science at Material since February 2020, after previously holding the position of Associate Director. In addition, Monica co-founded and owns The Bel Bar as of March 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Research Manager, Research Associate, and Intern at LRW from September 2016 to February 2020, and as Project Lead at the Applied Social Psychology Lab from 2015 to 2017, where responsibilities included participant recruitment and protocol development. Earlier roles include Transport Coordinator and Emergency Medical Dispatcher at American Medical Response from March 2008 to January 2015. Monica holds a Master’s Degree in General Experimental Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, both from California State University, Northridge, and participated in a National Student Exchange program at the University of Minnesota in 2014.
