Alberto Cajiao

Alberto Cajiao has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alberto started their career as a Field Assistant in Ground Surveying at RCTopografia in 2003. Alberto then moved on to work as a Project Engineer in Construction Site Management at Estructuras S.A. from 2007 to 2009. Following that, Alberto worked as a Project Engineer in Commissioning at Pinck Ingenieure Consulting GmbH in 2009.

In 2010, Alberto served as the Country Director at AIESEC Central America South for two years. Alberto then transitioned to a role at Materialise in 2012, initially as a Sales & Project Engineer in Additive Manufacturing until 2015.

Alberto joined 3D Systems Corporation in 2015 as a Business Development Manager Healthcare EMEA. In this role, they were responsible for new business development activities in Europe and developed long-term partnerships with medical device companies. Alberto represented 3D Systems at various events and played a key role in driving internal developments.

In 2018, Alberto joined Sitemark as a Sales Manager & Construction Strategy Lead, contributing to the company's growth until 2020. Alberto then moved on to work as a Development Manager in Spain at Cofinimmo, the largest listed property company in Belgium, from 2020 to 2022.

Currently, Alberto is working at Materialise as the Business Development Lead for Mindware, where they provide guidance and insights to help businesses accelerate their potential in the 3D printing industry.

Alberto Cajiao has a diverse education history. In 2002 to 2007, they pursued a graduate degree in Civil Engineering at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR. Continuing their education, they attended Vlerick Business School in 2018 to 2019, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. In the same year, they also participated in a Custom Program on Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley Extension. Furthermore, Alberto Cajiao obtained their high school education at Humboldt Schule from 1995 to 2001. Additionally, they have attained additional certifications such as "Developing Leadership Presence," "Leading Virtual Meetings," and "Speaking Confidently and Effectively" from LinkedIn.
