Ben Bekaert

Ben Bekaert is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical device sector. Currently serving as Device Development Team Lead at Materialise since December 2023, Ben previously held the positions of System Engineer & Architect at Biocartis and Medical Device Expert at QbD from July 2020 to December 2023. Prior to these roles, Ben was a Medical Device Innovation Engineer at Materialise from August 2015 to July 2020 and gained foundational experience at KU Leuven as a student and course text corrector from September 2009 to August 2015. Ben's early work included summer positions as a Production Labourer at RENSON Ventilation and Winsol Group. Educational achievements include a Postgraduate in Biomedical Engineering and a Master’s in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from KU Leuven, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
