Jan Van Espen has extensive experience in product management and engineering within the additive manufacturing and aerospace industries. Currently serving as a Digital Intelligence Manager at Materialise since June 2008, Jan oversees the management of high-end digital data intelligence solutions and strategic projects, focusing on process and quality control in demanding sectors. Previous roles at Materialise include Process R&D Manager for AM/3D Printed Implants, Lead Consultant for 3D Printed Titanium Implants, and Senior Consultant for Medical & Aerospace. Prior to joining Materialise, Jan worked as Planning & Projects Manager at Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium and as an Aircraft Maintenance Production Engineer at Sabena Technics. Jan's career began as a Mechanical Engineer for Satellite Design at the Centre National d'Études Spatiales. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Mechatronics from KU Leuven and a Master's in Space Systems & Technology from ISAE, Toulouse.
