Ryan Starcher

Ryan Starcher is a Project Engineer at Materials Testing Consultants since April 2021, with extensive experience in geotechnical engineering. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina from 2010 to 2020, where responsibilities included preparing laboratory workstations, developing alternative teaching techniques, and conducting analysis for Master's thesis and dissertation on soil properties. Previous positions include Geotechnical Engineering Associate at F&ME Consultants, Inc., and Geotechnical Staff Engineer at GeoStellar Engineering, LLC, contributing to various on-call DOT projects and materials investigations. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, along with a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field.
