Mari Stuart serves as the Head of Regenerative Agriculture at Materra since March 2024. Previous experience includes roles as a Regenerative Design Instructor at SIT Graduate Institute, a Program Designer at Co-operate WNC, and a Senior Associate at Terra Genesis. Additionally, Mari has held academic positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Reed College. Mari's expertise in permaculture is demonstrated through facilitation at Surplus Permaculture and design work at Gardens of Eatin'. As a co-founder and CEO of Carbon Harvest, Mari has significantly contributed to sustainable agriculture initiatives. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Religion/Religious Studies from Harvard Divinity School, a certificate in Permaculture Design and Ecological Landscaping from Permaculture Skills Center, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Literature from Hampshire College.
