Laura Blue

Laura Blue is a Principal Researcher at Mathematica, where since September 2013, Laura has conducted and managed health services research focused on evaluating alternative payment models in primary and preventive care, and serves as deputy project director for significant evaluations including Primary Care First and the Million Hearts Cardiovascular Disease Risk Reduction Model. Prior experience includes roles as a creative health policy researcher and freelance reporter from 2006 to 2016, contributing to prominent publications such as TIME, Wired, and Scientific American. Laura also served as a senior contributing health writer at TIME.com and was a reporter for Time Magazine from 2004 to 2008, covering health, environment, and science. Academic credentials include a PhD in Demography and Population Studies from Princeton University and a BA in history with a minor in economics from The University of British Columbia.
