Lisa Schwartz has extensive work experience in the fields of research, policy, and business practice. Lisa began their career as a Research Psychologist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 1998 to 2001. Lisa then worked as a Senior Research Scientist at NORC from 2001 to 2005. At Mathematica Policy Research, Lisa held various roles, including Senior Survey Researcher and Associate Director, Vice President and Director of Survey Research, and Vice President for Business Practice, where they focused on innovation, coordination of external changes, and the implementation of industry best practices. Lisa also held positions at Mathematica, where they served as Senior Vice President for Business Practice and Director of Operations, Chief Business Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic objectives, transformation, operational integration, and maintaining a client-centric culture. Throughout their career, Lisa has achieved significant milestones, such as reaching a $1B corporate backlog, expanding into non-federal markets, and implementing new functions and capabilities.
Lisa Schwartz has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from Vassar College, which they obtained from 1981 to 1985. Lisa continued their education at the University of Maryland, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Developmental Psychology from 1993 to 1997. In 2015, Lisa enrolled in a program called Leading Change and Organizational Renewal at Harvard Business School Executive Education. Lisa also attended a finance program for senior executives at the same school in 2018.
