Angela Lyonsmith DAT, ATR-BC, ATCS, LCPC is an experienced professional in the fields of art therapy and community engagement. At Mount Mary University, from August 2012 to December 2022, Angela taught courses in Supervised Internship/Group Supervision and Community-Based Art Therapy & Studio Approaches. Since September 2020, Angela has served as the Director of Kids Create Change/Studio 3, a non-profit organization committed to promoting social justice through the arts. Angela's past roles include Associate Director at WomanCraft, where responsibilities encompassed supervising artisans and developing supportive programming, and more recently, as Director of Community Partnerships at Mather, a non-profit organization focused on creating ways to age well. Prior experience includes ownership of Gather, a community art studio, and roles such as Artist in Residence and Assistant Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Angela holds a Doctoral Degree in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University and a Master's degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Art from Muskingum University.
