Milos Ivanovic

Milos Ivanovic is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Mathison. Milos previously worked as a Senior Technical Lead at Edmodo from November 2015 to December 2020. There, they led an international development team consisting of 3 frontend and 2 backend engineers. Milos also planned and implemented a complex upgrade of a 700,000 SLOC codebase from Rails 4 to Rails 5. In addition, they rearchitected the pre-release and testing process which increased test suite speed from 6 hours to 15 minutes. Milos also onboarded and mentored new engineers, documented pain points and improved setup time from 1 week to 1 day. At Edmodo, they also worked with Product Managers, Testers and Data Scientists to experiment and build new A/B test features quickly.

Before Edmodo, Milos Ivanovic worked as a Software Engineer at The University of Auckland from June 2013 to November 2015 where they did front- and back-end web development for new application services to be used by university staff and students.

Milos also has experience as a Site Reliability Engineer / Software Engineer at Hosting Direct Limited from June 2012 to December 2014 and as a Systems Engineer at TopQuality Limited from June 2010 to November 2015.

Milos Ivanovic completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Computer Software Engineering at The University of Auckland. Milos also completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Kristin School.
