Zachary Powers

Zachary Powers is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical and scientific research field, currently serving as a Consultant at Mathpix since July 2021. Prior to this role, Zachary held positions as a Senior Research Scientist I at Curia from December 2023 to November 2025, and as a Scientist II and Scientist I at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. from June 2021 to December 2023. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Scientist I at AMRI from July 2013 to July 2016, focusing on research and development of manufacturing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients and optimization of existing processes. Zachary holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Boston University, earned in 2021, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biotechnology/Chemistry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, completed in 2013.
