Global Head Of Education at Mathspace

Erin Gallagher has extensive work experience in the field of mathematics education. Erin started their career as a Mathematics Teacher at Lanyon High School, where they developed curriculum documentation and collaborated with other institutions to enhance curriculum transitions for students. Erin also worked as a Numeracy Executive Officer at ACTDET and as a Mathematics Teacher at Dickson College.

Erin then moved on to various roles at different organizations. Erin served as a Lecturer and Tutor at the University of Canberra and as a CMA representative at the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers. Erin also worked as an Executive Teacher of Mathematics at Hawker College, where they led a department that implemented blended learning and created flexible learning spaces.

Additionally, Erin has experience in professional development and education consultancy. Erin owned their own business, Aspire Mathematics, which offered professional development programs for teachers and schools. Erin also worked as a Sessional Tutor at Australian Catholic University and as a Tutor/Lecturer, contributing to the education of pre-service teachers in mathematics.

Most recently, Erin was employed by Mathspace as the Global Head of Education. In this role, they managed global teams responsible for creating and curating Mathspace content aligned with various curricula worldwide, prioritizing high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.

Throughout their career, Erin has showcased their dedication to promoting effective and contemporary mathematics practices and has successfully changed the attitudes of future teachers. Erin has also presented at conferences and has obtained certifications in IT and workplace training and assessment.

Erin Gallagher attended Erindale College from 1992 to 1994. Erin did not receive a degree during their time at the college. From 2000 to 2004, Erin pursued a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Canberra, majoring in Mathematics and Education.
