Alan Weiss

Principal Technical Writer at Mathworks

Alan Weiss has extensive work experience in technical writing and research. From 2007 onwards, they worked as a Principal Technical Writer at The MathWorks, where they were responsible for writing documentation and developing demos for various math toolboxes. Alan also wrote automated tests for documentation examples. Prior to that, from 1981 to 2007, Alan worked at Bell Labs as a researcher, focusing on areas such as large deviations, communication and computer network models, and modeling optical interconnects. Alan also advised graduate students during summer internships.

Alan Weiss received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Case Western Reserve University in 1976. Alan then pursued a Ph.D. in Mathematics from New York University, graduating in 1981.
