Andy Bartlett has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years in various industries. Andy started their career as a Visiting Scientist at the German Aerospace Center before becoming an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Andy then worked as a Contract Engineer for Chrysler before joining MathWorks, where they held several roles, including Senior Team Lead, Development Manager, Specialist Development Manager, and Senior Development Manager. At MathWorks, Andy led multiple software development teams and played a crucial role in expanding model-based design in the automotive and communication markets. Andy successfully managed engagements with major clients such as Toyota, DENSO, BOSCH, BMW, and Hyundai, resulting in significant revenue growth for the company. Additionally, Andy contributed to the development of automation tools and processes, which reduced inefficiencies and improved software quality. Currently, they are a Member and Angel Investor at Walnut Ventures, where they invest in early-stage technology-based startups and actively participates in the selection and due diligence process.
