Arun Gopalaswami

Arun Gopalaswami has over a decade of experience in software engineering, currently serving as a Senior Team Lead and Principal Software Engineer at MathWorks since September 2010. Notable achievements include mentoring new team members and interns, leading the design and implementation of half-precision support, and serving as the product owner of Simulink diagnostic suppression. In previous roles, Arun focused on enhancing diagnostics management for Simulink and developing fixed-point algorithms for embedded systems. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant position at The University of Texas at Dallas, where a thesis on smart energy management was completed, and a role at HCL Technologies as a Member Technical Staff, contributing to a patented drug delivery algorithm for a medical device. Arun holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics from relevant educational institutions.
