Chaeryon Kong

Chaeryon Kong, PhD, CFA, FRM, CQF, is a Principal Software Engineer in Computational Finance at The MathWorks, where they have developed advanced software utilizing Reinforcement Learning and Deep Learning for optimal trade execution since 2012. They have extensive experience in pricing various derivatives and providing technical expertise to customer-facing teams. Previously, Chaeryon served as a squad leader in the Republic of Korea Army, and held research positions at Harvard University, MIT, and Johns Hopkins University, contributing to significant advancements in biomedical engineering and spectroscopic techniques. Chaeryon is currently furthering their education with multiple degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
