Donald Baltus

Donald Baltus is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in hardware design and software development, currently serving as Principal Engineer for FPGA Deep Learning and HW/SW Codesign at MathWorks since September 2019. Prior to this role, Donald worked at AMD as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, contributing to hardware emulation methodologies. Additional roles include Consulting Engineer at Atomic Rules, where timeservo IP core was implemented, and Quantitative Developer at Quantlab Financial, LLC, specializing in C++ code optimization and data visualization. Donald has held significant positions at Bluespec Incorporated, LSI Logic, and Kendall Square Research, and began a technical career at Thinking Machines Corporation. Educational achievements include a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MS from Stanford University, and an SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
