Marshall Alphonso

Marshall Alphonso currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbia University in the City of New York, teaching artificial intelligence for portfolio and risk management within the MS in Enterprise Risk Management program since May 2022. With extensive experience in engineering and quantitative finance, Marshall has held various roles at MathWorks, including Principal Engineer, Technical Account Manager, and Senior Account Executive in Quantitative Finance since August 2013. Prior experience includes a position as a Quantitative Analyst at McKinsey & Company from August 2011 to August 2013, and engineering roles at The MathWorks, Andrew Corporation, European Space Agency, and Intelsat. Educational achievements include graduate work in Biology at Harvard University, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University, and a Bachelor's degree in Math and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, along with a Space Studies program at the International Space University.
