Michio Inoue

Michio Inoue is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in application engineering and algorithm development. Currently serving as the Senior Team Lead and Principal Application Engineer at MathWorks since June 2014, Michio leads a team specializing in data science and technical computing workflows, leveraging over a decade of expertise to provide strategic leadership and technical guidance. Prior roles at MathWorks included Senior Application Engineer and Technical Support Engineer, where Michio contributed to product development and supported customers with advanced software solutions. Previous experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, focused on algorithm development for large eddy simulations, and positions at the California Institute of Technology, which involved turbulence analysis and teaching responsibilities. Michio holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics from Caltech, a B.S. in Aero & Astronautical Engineering from The University of Tokyo, and has participated in a visiting program at the University of Oxford.
