Raynier Raja

Raynier Raja is a skilled software engineer specializing in automated driving technologies, currently working at MathWorks since November 2020. In this role, Raynier has contributed to the development of a YOLOv2 object detection model for speed limit detection from dash cam images and has also worked as an Automated Driving Software Engineer. Previously, as an Application Support Engineer, Raynier conducted a literature survey on deep learning models for object detection in lidar sensor data and developed a custom model for detecting vehicles in such data, essential for autonomous vehicles. Raynier's journey began with an internship at MathWorks, where a YOLOv2 model for vehicle detection was created for autonomous driving applications. Raynier holds a Master's degree in Control Systems from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from R.M.D Engineering College.
