Walter Ratzat

Walter Ratzat is a Senior User Experience Specialist at The MathWorks since September 2015, with a robust background in user experience design and research spanning multiple companies. Previous roles include User Experience Researcher at Brightfind, User Experience Architect and Product Manager at Geostellar, and User Experience Architect at NCBI National Center for Biotechnology Information. Walter's expertise encompasses conducting user interviews, usability testing, creating wireframes, and developing customer journey maps. Additional experience includes founding WRED Experience Design, serving as Marketing Communications Director at Immersion Medical, and leading artistic teams in earlier roles. Walter holds an MFA in Time Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University, along with a certification as a Usability Analyst from Human Factors International.
