Xu Chen

Xu Chen is currently a Senior Application Engineer at MathWorks since November 2023. Previously, Xu served as a Hardware Engineer at A2e Technologies from January 2021 to November 2023, focusing on FPGA design. Prior to that, from August 2018 to January 2021, Xu worked as an Electrical Engineer at Smith & Nephew, contributing to the development of a 4K endoscope and camera control unit with responsibilities in FPGA design and automated testing. Xu's experience also includes an Electronic Engineer II role at KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc., where collaboration with cross-functional teams led to the successful transition of a CMOS camera module to production. Xu began the professional journey as an Electronic Engineer I at the same company, designing semi-automated systems, and started as an Electrical Engineer Co-op at Karl Storz Endovision in 2013. Xu earned both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, completing the Master's program in 2016 and Bachelor's in 2013.
