Kay Kim

Kay Kim has worked in the software engineering and localization industries for over a decade. From 2009 to 2014, they worked as a Localization Coordinator/Specialist at Nexon America. During this time, they improved productivity and reduced costs of Localization by implementing best localization practices in the team, created and maintained process guides and project burndown charts, and managed SVN for the Localization team. From 2014 to 2016, Kay Kim worked as an Associate Localization Manager at Netmarble US, where they engineered localization feature roll-out for 15 different languages to add additional revenue streams, maximized cost efficiency by delegating scheduling and budgeting with multiple third party localization vendors, and ensured that projects were on schedule and under budget while maintaining quality by streamlining processes. From 2016 to 2018, Kay Kim worked as a Project Manager at Apple, where they managed and optimized large scale localization projects for Apple deliverables for 18 different languages, checked all deliverables for issues, and ensured projects met Apple’s high quality standards. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Software Engineer at Token IQ, Inc. and from 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at VMI. Currently, Kay Kim is a Software Engineer at Matik, Inc.

Kay Kim graduated from the University of Southern California in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance.
