Mike Terrell

Mike Terrell has a strong background in sales engineering and technical sales. Mike currently works as a Sales Engineer at Matillion since November 2021. Before that, they held the same role at ChaosSearch from March 2021 to November 2021. Prior to these roles, they worked at Actian Corporation as a Sales Engineer from September 2018 to March 2021. At Actian, they supported sales executives through technical discussions, presentations, and demonstrations. Mike also advocated for customers when interfacing with the Actian organization.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked at IBM in various roles. From January 2018 to September 2018, they served as a Technical Sales Engineer, where they performed pre and post-sales activities and promoted adoption of IBM information Server, Optim, and Master Data Management solutions. From October 2015 to January 2018, they worked as an Analytics Client Architect, assisting sales executives in pre and post-sales activities and architecting end-to-end solutions based on IBM information Server and Data Management product portfolios.

Before their time at IBM, Mike worked at Informix Software. Mike served as a Sales Engineer from September 1997 to January 2001, supporting sales executives in pre and post-sales activities and promoting adoption of Informix database family and development tools. Mike also worked as a Consultant/Trainer from June 1993 to September 1997, promoting and providing training and services for Informix database and development tools. Overall, Mike Terrell has extensive experience in sales engineering and technical sales roles in the software and data management industry.

Mike Terrell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as the Matillion Associate Certification from Matillion in April 2022 and the Python Bootcamp: From Zero to Hero in Python from Udemy in July 2020.
