Catherine Frey is a Partner at MatlinPatterson and has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Catherine previously worked as a Principal and Founder of Frey Capital Advisors, LLC where they helped their clients invest in corporate credit, distressed debt, and special situations. Catherine has also worked as a Partner at MatlinPatterson Global Advisors where they were responsible for the firm's private equity and hedge fund business development strategy. At its peak, MatlinPatterson managed more than $10 billion of assets for its clients. Catherine has a deep understanding of portfolio management strategy, risk assessment, balance sheet optimization, and client communication. Catherine is a trusted advisor for their clients and has helped them grow their assets significantly over the years.

Catherine Frey received a B.S.E. from The Wharton School in finance and international business. Catherine also attended Bishop Ludden high school.
