Lead Developer at Matomo

Thomas Steur started their work experience in 2006 at XQueue GmbH, where they worked as a Key-Account-Manager and Web-Developer. Thomas was responsible for retaining key accounts by analyzing their special requirements and developing solutions using XSL, XML, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL. Thomas also provided consultancies and trainings to key accounts such as Lufthansa. In 2008, they became the Team Leader of XML- and PHP-Development at XQueue GmbH, managing a team of four people and optimizing processes to improve quality and reduce costs. In 2008, they joined Mayflower GmbH as a Senior Web Developer, where they built and maintained a scalable social gaming platform and integrated various APIs. Thomas then worked at Piwik PRO as a Senior Software Engineer from 2013 to 2016. Thomas joined Matomo in 2010, first as a Lead Developer and later as an Open Source Developer and Project Manager for Piwik Mobile. Currently, they are working at InnoCraft as the CTO, leading the development of premium analytics products and services.

Thomas Steur received their M.S. in Computer Science (Diplom-Informatiker) from Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2006, with a field of study in Applied Computer Science. Prior to that, they obtained a Certified IT Technical Assistant (Staat. geprüfter Informationstechnischer Assistent) degree in Information and Communication Technology from Robert-Bosch-Schule Ulm, Germany, from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in application development, Scrum, Linux, PHP, and MySQL between 2010 and 2012.
