Matrescence Media is an independent media and production company inspired by over a decade of sitting with people inside the most significant thresholds of their lives. We're building a container for the experiences that deserve to be known — about real people, living real life.

Our name comes from matrescence — referencing the period of transition into motherhood, not unlike adolescence. We see matrescence as a mirror of life's broader lessons.

Our vision is rooted in the understanding that naming things creates space for people to expand and transform, and that the most powerful thing we can do is see each other.

Through written work, podcasts, digital content, public speaking, live events, documentary & film, facilitation, and value-aligned partnerships - we're on a mission to show that the encounters which fundamentally transform our identities deserve recognition, and the truth of people's experiences deserves our presence.
