Erik Swanson is the CEO and founder of Simplex Trading LLC, a technology-driven proprietary trading firm established in 2004 in Chicago, where Erik has led the company since August 2008. In addition to this role, Erik serves as the Head Trader at Matrix Executions since February 2019 and as a Member of the Board of Managers at Testaccio LLC from July 2020 to April 2024. Erik is also a partner at Testaccio LLC. Erik earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from American University (2004-2008) and studied at The London School of Economics and Political Science during 2006-2007.
