Tarun Davda

Tarun Davda has had a diverse range of work experience in various leadership roles. Tarun began their career at Infosys Technologies Ltd, where they served as a Project Manager in the Insurance & Healthcare vertical from 2000 to 2008. Tarun then joined Directi as Director of Strategy and Business Development from 2009 to 2011. At Directi, they were responsible for driving the company's strategic growth initiatives. Following this, they had a significant role at BigRock.com, where they served as General Manager & Business Head. At BigRock.com, they managed the complete P&L and operational responsibilities, along with spearheading various marketing and business development initiatives. Under their leadership, the company experienced exponential revenue growth and achieved success in disruptive marketing campaigns. In 2011, they co-founded StepOut.com and served as India CEO, leading the company's expansion efforts, rebranding, and revenue scaling. StepOut.com was subsequently acquired by IAC/Match.com in 2013. Currently, Tarun serves as Partner & Managing Director at Matrix Partners India, where they focus on early-stage investments in the Consumer Internet, Mobile, and SaaS sectors. Tarun brings expertise in verticals such as eCommerce, Travel & Transport, Health tech, and Media/Social/Gaming to the firm. Tarun Davda completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Production Engineering at VJTI, Mumbai from 1996 to 2000. Tarun then pursued a Post Graduate Programme in Management with a dual major in Analytical Finance and Strategy & Leadership at the Indian School of Business from 2008 to 2009.
